陳富明生長在加卅屋崙的中國城。雖然他一向熱愛視覺藝，直到退休後才開始他的藝術生涯。他有幸追隨侯北人大師學習水墨畫多年，並發覺侯老師的潑墨集彩畫最為精彩和有挑戰性。他最引以為傲的作品是他替屋崙林肯學校所畫的一幅三乘六米名爲「黃山日出」旳壁畫富明的作品在美國中華藝術協會和彎區多處展出。他堅信他對繪畫的熱心，讓他心靈永保青春。

Jerome Chin grew up in Oakland, California's Chinatown. It was not until after he retired that he found a renewed interest for the visual arts. He had the honor of studying under Master Hou Beiren for many years and had found Master Hou’s painting techniques to be the most exciting and challenging. One of his most prized accomplishments is a 3x6 meter mural of ‘Sunrise at Yellow Mountain’ that he painted at Lincoln School in Oakland. His paintings have been exhibited with the American Society for the Advancement of Chinese Arts (ASACA) and various Bay Area Venues. He continues to believe that his passion for painting keeps him young at heart.
