羅家怡在加州灣區長大，她從九歲開始學習中國水墨畫。雖然羅家怡在水墨畫熏陶下成長，她卻非常樂於嘗試其他的藝術素材，譬如油畫以及板畫等。她的畫作常常流露出她對動物及鮮明色彩的興趣，她對文字也十分敏感，形成文字與畫面之間的鮮明並列。她現在就讀於加州大學柏克萊分校，主修美術與媒體研究，並參與學校戲劇系之舞台設計工作。

Justine grew up in the Bay Area and started studying Chinese painting at age 9. Although her first formal introduction to art was Chinese painting, she loves exploring other mediums as well, such as oil painting and printmaking. Her love for animals and bright colors often influence the content of her work, but she is also driven by word play and stark juxtapositions. She is pursuing a double major in Art and Media Studies at UC Berkeley, and is currently extending herself more into set design in the theatre department.
